Granted, Fable Anniversary doesn't have the most in depth story and the dialogue is pretty minimal and shallow, but I personally prefer it to how Fable 3 delivers its lines. Like, characters would start talking immediately after another finished, it didn't feel like a natural conversation. I didn't like it when I played it years ago, so I do have some bias, but I was immediately turned off by the dialogue being so. However, I recently played through Anniversary and Fable 2, then started 3. If you don't mind playing around that however, it isn't hard to find strategies which minimize it (slow time is a big help), but combat is still very unrefined. ![]() ![]() ![]() The combat in Anniversary can get really frustrating. If you don't really care about story, I think Fable 3.
